Set in a magnificent waterside location at the heart of the redeveloped Salford Quays in Greater Manchester,
The Lowry is an architectural flagship with a unique and dynamic identity. Rising from the regenerated docklands, it is a welcoming building, designed to reflect the surrounding landscapes and flourishing waterways in its glass and metallic surfaces.

!Audacious 2015 will make use of all of The Lowry’s facilities as well as making the most of the surrounding MediaCityUK area.


Located at the heart of Salford Quays and home to the BBC , ITV , Coronation Street, The Lowry Theatre and Lowry Outlet Mall, MediaCityUK is a thriving hub of venues, events and creative activity.

The Lowry is a 10 minute drive from Manchester City Centre, 20 minutes from Manchester Airport, and a quarter of a mile from the motorway network, giving access from all over the North West and beyond.
From the M60 take junction 12 for the M602. The Quays is a quarter of a mile from junction 3 of the M602.

Please note that there is no parking at the venue, but there is plenty around Salford Quays for you to use.

Should you wish to stay in Manchester City Centre, or if you are travelling to the conference by public transport Salford Quays is easily reached by public transport. The easiest way to travel from Piccadilly Station, Manchester Victoria Station or the City Centre of Manchester is on the Metrolink tram system. A week pass for unlimited travel on the Metrolink is £15.50 for an adult, or £6.70 for a child (5-15 year olds, 11-15 must carry proof of age). Alternatively, for a day return it is £3.90 for an adult, or £1.60 for a child. For more information regarding the trams, including further prices and time tables please visit their website, or call them on 0161 205 2000.

Buses that go along the Quays and past The Lowry:

50 – East Didsbury. The Lowry. Regular service running every fifteen minutes, including Sundays.
69 – Eccles – Stretford. A regular service until 6pm, excluding Sundays and Bank Holidays.
245 – Altrincham – Exchange Quay. Regular service running every thirty minutes approximately (alight at Imperial War Museum).

Buses that stop on Eccles New Road (20 mins walk to The Lowry):

27 – Swinton – Manchester. A regular service excluding Sundays and Bank Holidays.
25 – Bolton – Manchester. An evening, Sunday and Bank Holiday service.
33 – Wigan – Manchester. A regular service.
63 – Brookhouse – Manchester. An evening, Sunday and Bank Holiday service.

Buses that stop on Trafford Wharf Road (10 mins walk to The Lowry):

290 & 291 – Flixton – Manchester. An early morning and regular afternoon & evening service. No weekend or Bank Holiday service.

Buses that stop on Trafford Road (20 mins walk to The Lowry):

51 – Old Trafford – Manchester. A regular service excluding evenings, Sundays and Bank Holidays.
52 – Old Trafford – Manchester. A regular service excluding evenings.

If you and your group are traveling to conference on a coach and need to be dropped off or collected from the venue there is space for this to happen outside the Lowry Theatre.

Please note: Coaches can not park near the venue.
